Insight of the Heart
بصیرتِ دل
لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَنْ لَا يَعْقِلُ، وَلَا عَقْلَ لِمَنْ لَا يُطِيعُ.
جو عقل نہیں رکھتا اس کی اطاعت (کا کوئی فائدہ) نہیں، اور جو اطاعت نہیں کرتا اس کے پاس عقل نہیں ہے۔
“There is no obedience for one who has no intellect, and there is no intellect for one who does not obey (the Truth).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ establishes a circular and necessary relationship between Intellect ($`Aql$) and Obedience ($Ta’at$). Real intelligence is not just academic cleverness; it is the ability to recognize Truth and then follow it. If a person claims to be wise but lives in defiance of moral and Divine laws, their wisdom is hollow. Conversely, blind following without intellectual engagement is not true obedience. Insight requires the heart and the mind to move in harmony.
