Gradual Testing

قُرِنَ الاِْسْتِطَالَةُ بِالاِْسْتِدْرَاجِ.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
غرور و سرکشی کو (خدا کی طرف سے) مہلت ملنے کے ساتھ وابستہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“Arrogance and overbearing behavior are coupled with gradual testing (Istidraj).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ warns that when an arrogant person continues to succeed despite their transgressions, it is not necessarily a sign of favor. Instead, it is Istidraj—a process where one is given more time and blessings only to increase their burden of proof against themselves. It serves as a reminder to never mistake Divine patience for Divine approval.
