Controlling Anger
“Acute anger is a kind of madness, because the person who experiences it usually feels regret; if he does not feel regret, then his madness is deep-rooted.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ provides a profound psychological definition of **Anger**. He explains that the hallmark of a sane person is the ability to reflect on their actions. Anger is “temporary madness” because it bypasses the intellect. If a person regrets their rage, it means their reason has returned. However, if they justify their outburst and feel no remorse, they have moved from a temporary lapse to a permanent state of intellectual imbalance.
