عدل اور احسان

📜
Original Arabic • متنِ عربی

أَنْصِفِ اللهَ وَأَنْصِفِ النَّاسَ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ.

Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ

اللہ کے حقوق ادا کرنے میں انصاف کرو، اور لوگوں کے ساتھ اپنے معاملات میں انصاف سے کام لو۔

English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ

“Do justice to Allah and do justice to the people against yourself (meaning: be fair even if it goes against your own interests).”

Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ defines the highest form of character: Objective Justice. Most people are “just” only when it benefits them, but the Imam calls for a justice that is practiced “against yourself.” This means admitting your mistakes, fulfilling your obligations to God, and giving others their rights even when you have the power to withhold them. True peace in society is only possible when individuals hold themselves to a higher standard than they expect from others.
